Coronavirus has very much been in the news and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Here’s what we’re doing at Walker’s Drug Store to help you cope…
The Coronavirus pandemic has spread to over 150 countries with a worldwide death toll that still continues to climb. Our nation hasn’t seen this type of infectious pandemic since the Spanish flu, which most of us weren’t even alive to experience (thankfully!). All of that said, the importance of taking precautionary measures simply cannot be underscored. At Walker’s Drug Store, we are doing all that we can to ensure that you are safe and have access to your much needed supplies. Here’s what we’re doing to make this period easier for you.
As a pharmacy, we are considered an ‘essential service’ and therefore we are maintaining regular daily operations. We are open Mon-Fri: 9:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am-1:00pm. Our on-site post office is also open Mon-Fri: 9:00am-6:00pm. so that you can still send and receive your packages. We understand that the best place to be is in your home or at least away from public spaces where you’d have to interact with others. That’s why we are offering curbside pickup and delivery of prescription and OTC medications, simply call us at (704) 321-0027.
Because we understand the importance of sanitation and good hand hygiene, we are also producing hand sanitizer for customers. We are trying our best to remain stocked with all other essential items you might need at this time including hand soap, vitamins, immuno-boosters, etc. We would like to remind you that demand is high across the nation for certain PPE (personal protective equipment) and manufacturers are working overtime to answer these demands so shipping and deliveries might be delayed making us unable to guarantee exact restocking timelines.
We’d like to encourage you all to abide by the regulations and only go out if necessary. Practice good hygiene by frequently washing/sanitizing your hands, regularly disinfecting surfaces, avoiding touching your face and practicing social distancing when out in public. We know that things are hard and stressful right now, but we’ll make it through this safely if we each play our part.
Even though these may not be top of your mind at this time, the risk is still present so feel free to ask us about getting your essential vaccines, such as the flu or pneumonia shot. While these vaccines don’t protect against COVID-19, they do protect against illnesses that can increase your susceptibility to it. Be sure to call us at (704) 321-0027 for further information and speak to one of our representatives at the Drug Store that cares.
