Walker’s Wellness is simply that – the continuation of our investment in our community and the promotion of individual well-being. As a service center, Walker’s Wellness offers a variety of specialty health services, as well as community services, that separate us from the rest.

Compounding

Prescription compounding is sometimes necessary for those medications that are available only through composition, such as hormone treatments and some topical creams/ointments. Compounding also offers solutions to medication ingestion and application.

Medication Flavoring

Have a child, or even animal, that just will NOT take their medicine due to taste? Call us to see if your prescription is available for flavoring!

Hormone Treatment

Natural hormonal medications are available ONLY through compounding. Walker’s Wellness offers a very inexpensive solution compared to other name-brand pharmacies.

Medication Application

We understand that some forms of medication just aren’t right for some people. That’s why at Walker’s Wellness we offer solutions for turning tablets into liquids, ointments into creams, and even liquids into lollipops! Call us to see if your prescription is available in the form you desire!

Bone Density Testing

A bone density test measures how many grams of calcium and other bone minerals are packed into a segment of bone. The higher your content, the denser your bones, hence the less likely they are to break. Walker’s Wellness uses a peripheral device to measure this density from your heel. Though not as accurate as expensive machines used by doctor’s offices, a positive test on our bone density machine may be used as a strong indicator that you have, or are at risk of, osteoporosis. Please call and schedule an appointment with us if you feel you have, or are in danger of developing, osteoporosis.

Cholesterol Screenings

Blood cholesterol level is a contributing factor to the development of heart disease and heart attacks. More than one million Americans have heart attacks each year, and about half of a million people die from heart disease each year. Walker’s Wellness provides inexpensive cholesterol screening to individuals of all ages. We recommend blood cholesterol screenings as part of your overall health plan! Please consult with your physician to interpret your cholesterol screening!

Flu Shots

Every year at Walker’s Wellness, we provide affordable flu vaccinations, administered by registered nurses, to the general public. The flu vaccination (influenza) is recommended for persons at high risk for serious complications from influenza virus infection. Please consult your doctor to find out if a flu vaccination is right for you! Call for availability.

Walker's Wellness is an official UPS annex! If you have a package you need shipped, but don’t have time to drive to the nearest facility, Walker's Wellness can provide a convenient alternative to your shipping needs! Please have all your items pre-packaged. We will also ship prescriptions filled at our store anywhere in the US.
